I have two desktop computers. Both have XP SP2 and are up to date on updates.

I have Firefox on both. For months when running Firefox I could automatically log onto both the google home page and my.yahoo.com. Something I must have done on one of them caused both URLs to require me to logon manually.

I tried coping the Firefox profile from one computer to the other. When I ran Firefox my.yahoo.com did logon automatically the first time, but no longer after that. This lead me to believe there was something in Firefox that changed after running it the first time.

I have compared the options in both Firefox programs. I can't see any difference in the options selected.

I'm at a loss where else to look.

Any suggestions????

Thanks,

Bob

It could be a cookies setting.

That's what I thought and I looked at the options setting in Firefox on both computers. They are the same.

A clue when I copied the profile from the computer that works to the one that doesn't, FF logged on automatically the first time, but not anytime after that. This is what made me believe it was a cookie setting, but if it is, it isn't in FF. Any other suggestions to look for cookie settings?

Thanks,

Do you have the "Remember passwords" setting ticked (under the Privacy tab in FF's preferences)?
