Hi Every1,

I reformatted and repartioned my hard drive so that now I have a dual boot system with Win2000 and Linux (red hat).
However I did have very important mail messages that I saved b4 I reformatted my harddrive from the Outlook Express program and this saved it as a .dbx extension.
What I want to do and for which I can't figure out is how to import these .dbx files from my zip_drive into my newly installed Outlook Express program. Doing File>Import>.............. doesn't seem to apply to my situation, so if anyone has any good ideas on how to help, it would be much appreciated.

Thanks a lot

Beno

.dbx files are Outlook Express mailboxes. You should be able to simply copy the .dbx file into the folder where OE is currently storing mail, then start OE. It will see the new file and build an index (a message list for display) for it. If the .dbx file has the same name as a current .dbx file, just rename it (e.g., Temp.dbx).

Or if there really isn't nothing important on the current set then leave the name the same and overwrite the existing ones and pick-up where you left off.
