Asus WIFi-AP Solo WLAN adapter help

Hi All,

Any advice on the below problem would be much appreciated.

I am attempting to use the Asus WIFi-AP Solo WLAN adapter.

The wireless adapter appears to detect the network but the status remains as 'Not associated'.

The wireless router is configured correctly as I have communicated ok from another system.

The WIFi-AP Solo is configured as station / infrastructure mode.

I am using the WIFi-AP Solo drivers recommended by asus (5.1230.530.2006)
DHCP is enabled.
TCP/IP Properties set to obtain the IP address automatically.

After starting the WIFi-AP Solo, the initial search does not detect the network, but refresh and it is
detected and signal strengh of 86%.

mb: P5K-E/WiFi-AP
OS: WinXP Pro

What about security password (WEP/WAP)? If these are enabled, even with "Obtain IP automatically" you would still need to input the pass phrase.
