I am experiences problems booting. It seems to occur most often when i restart after adding new hardware. My system will get to the log in page on win98se then reboot. Scan disk runs then because system was not shut down correctly. Could this be a m/b driver issue I downloaded the new 4 in 1 drivers from abit but am not sure how to install them.

1gig T-bird
kt7-raid
ibm 30gig deskstar
32x12x10 plextor cdrw
32ddr Raedon
19" viewsonic

system is stable once i log in.

Thanks

You may want to start by pulling out all your cards, and start installing them one at a time to see what one maybe hanging up your system.

I've never tried to install 4 in 1 drivers, never had to...but I would start by looking at the files on the disk in Windows Explorer and see if you find a setup.exe or install.exe file. Also look for readme.txt and read it. Notepad should open it. That should give you installation instructions. Being basic motherboard drivers it might ned to be installed from a DOS prompt, but I'm not sure. A look through the FAQ or tech support sections of the Abit site may help too.

The 4 in 1 drivers download has a "Setup" icon in the program somewhere. It allows you to choose which of the drivers to load...be SURE to read the "README" file before doing any of it. There is one driver you might not want to load, and I have forgotten which one it is (I think it relates to Busmaster IDE drivers tho).
