Hi

I wish to record whatever is playing through my integrated sound card. Unfortunately the Windows Volume Control ford not give me such an option when showing the recording options. It only gives me rear mic, front mic and line-in.

The only way I can think of to do this is to record using the mic (very crap) or to use a cable to connect my speaker-out jack to the line-in jack (don't like this either).

Can any of you think of something else?

Regards

Patrick

It sounds Like you want to record what the computer is playing.

Music I'll bet

Try recording it from the Line-out to another device
Not inside the computer ..
MP3 player maybe

You'll need to get over the dislike of having to use a cord.

Do as Rick said, or if a cd, use a cord from the front output of the cd-rom to the line-in on your pc. Do not play through WMP or any other player but record and listen through Sound Recorder or other capture device such as a PVR device or software based ones like MusicMatch Jukebox.
