I rarely build PCs, but I've been getting into some gaming and my A64 3200+/ATI X700PRO is becoming pretty old. So here's the final build; I'm just waiting to purchase it once I get a few opinions on it.

Also, it's been awhile since I've done a build. Do HSFs still come with thermal compound? I remember reading that some use heat pads now where the compound isn't required. What will be the case here?

Welcome to the PC guide forums!!!

Really nice build. You'll be really jumping from one extremity to another compared to your old machine.

As for the thermal compound, i suggest you buy some arctic silver 5 to go with your scythe cooler.

I'd recommend the Thermalright Ultima-90 (http://www.xoxide.com/thermalright-ultra90l.html) instead. Pick your own 120mm fan.

Ditto on the Arctic Silver 5. While 3rd-party HSF units do come with their own thermal grease, Arctic Silver is consistently among the best and is proven in robustness.
