Downloading bar is missing!!Help

The address loading bar at the bottom of the page has gone missing.(its the bar that is next to the clock and background items)
Its a bit of a pain because sometimes im not sure if a site is loading up or not.Ive unlocked the taskbar(right click bottom of page) and dragged the bottom bar up but its still not there. Any help of getting it back.?

Which web browser?

If Firefox, go to "View->Status Bar" and tick it [as seen in the screenshot below].
