Cannot print to networked 64 machine, from a 32 machine

I have some printers on an XP64 computer, Epson 220, HP 1100, HP 1320. They have the 64 bit drivers installed and are shared and working fine on the 64. To share them on the XP32 bit computer I needed to map them as local printers (rather than networked) after installing the 32 bit driver for them. When i was installing them the test page printed just fine, and they show up in Printers and Faxes. But when I try to print to them from the 32, nothing happens.

any suggestions? does this page mean anything?
