I do realize there are some loss of performance here but Im willing to pay good money for good customer support(so money doesnt matter that much as long as its under £3K/$6K) but what I wanna know is:

1. realisticly how much performance loss is there from OCuK to Dell desktop (doesnt seem like that much, is it)??

2. Is there any other options/ (making it my self is not an option :( as im starting uni soon(3rd year) and i just want the comfort of a good customer support to fix it asap when **** goes wrong with the hardware?

Thanks for the Help and sorry for the long message!!

1 - No, the performance loss is negligible. Some of the components are a bit dated (for that budget) but other than that...

2 - One of the other UK members could shed more light on that. I live in the US with Bush :( so I wouldn't know.

1) NOT MUCH (probably none ;) )

2) Dell has got some good customer support for the XPS line (it is in Arizona i believe)
So does HP (for its top of the line) http://h20435.www2.hp.com/
Vodoo makes some good PCs, but i am not sure of the support ( www.vodoopc.com )
Or you can choose Alienware (www.alienware.com ) (Dell owned)

i am not sure of the UK, but this is the list for The US- i assume it will be close for the Uk

However:
in my opinion:
the 720 H2C is over-priced- just go for the regular 720 and a better processor....

For customer support, i would go with the DELL. since you want costomer service, go with the dell

For price, i would go with overclockers.net

the XPS line actually have US assistance, but only for the XPS.

the last 15(give or take) times i called them, i got someone in Arizona for technical help! (not counting the routing from the Philippines (the "operator") to Arizona as an out of US call)

I think if you check
It costs extra for that service
extra above the normal extra charge for extended warranty

the last 15(give or take) times i called them,

15 calls to tech support ???????????
I'd have to start thinking about getting an RMA and refund after the first 2 or maybe 3

15 calls to tech support ???????????
I'd have to start thinking about getting an RMA and refund after the first 2 or maybe 3

15 calls were all my fault- i installed a PCI slot video card that disabled several key features on my Mobo (PCIe Video, Internet, etc) and they replaced the mobo, HD, drivers, (and if they were considering replacing the PSU). I never got charged for ANY of the replaced parts (even if they were not at error).

So, while i was considering getting an RMA, they finally tracked it down to the Video Card drivers (which were the newest for that card) (PCi x1600 256 Mb). I ended up buying the x1950 256 PCIe card as a replacement for that bogus card
