It doesn't change at all on the screen? and it just started happening? My beloved Dell's would fail someone? Oh no!!!
Have you tried a different monitor with the problem computer? Could be your video card has just taken a poop, do you have an extra video card you could swap in there? That should at least let you choose VGA mode if other video card does work. Does this no display on screen do the same thing if you try booting with the boot disks? Well, I guess if you can't even get your bios screen.... duh joe. I can't think of anything outside of faulty video card. I have a computer (shouldn't everyone) and it sometimes doesn't turn on the monitor when it boots up. Most of the time it does, and if it doesn't, cold boot will usually make the monitor kick on. That monitor is an old acer monitor, the system has run a couple different video cards, none have made a difference. I just don't care anymore about it, because that system now uses my T.V. as a monitor, it is my multimedia computer (althlon 500, ati all in wonder card, stores my mp3's, and has sound out through kickin stereo equipment). I have too many computer.... everyone should have that problem http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/redface.gif)
