32 bit Win on 64 bit processor ???

I am planing to upgrade to a 64 bit processor, but I do not want ot wase money on new copy of windows.

So my question is will 32 bit os's be compatible with 64 bit processors?

No problem in that direction... Doesn't work the other way around though...

I have a 64bit AMD processor and I have run a couple of 32bit OSes on it...

As long as you're talking about an x86-64 CPU, you don't have to worry about it. (We'd all have complained far and wide by now if you couldn't do it! :p)

But if you're getting something else, like an Itanium 1/2 or a Sparc 64-bit... ;)
