Hello. I have question about Win. 98. Are cookies stored anywhere other than the regular cookie folder? I delete cookies on a regular basis. Someone told me that deleting the cookies file doesn't really get rid of them. He said thare are two other places that they are stored. Is he pulling my leg?

I think that "someone" is right. Try CookieCentral (http://www.cookiecentral.com/).It looks like a good source that may fully answer your question.

Thanks Reid. It is a pretty good site, even if alittle outdated. Their message boards are current though. It looks like the old index.dat file really does hang onto a list of cookies.
