A few days ago I decided to run a ScanDisk on my Vista Ultimate PC (Gateway FX8040.) I rebooted and it started running Chkdsk (checkdisk.) It got 33% of the way through the scan (it said something about checking free space or something.) It was going fine until a few seconds after hitting the 33% mark. All of a sudden, it froze, and the hard drive light stopped blinking. I tried it 2 more times, and it froze AT EXACTLY THE SAME PLACE  . I think there might be a problem with the disk, if the ScanDisk CAN'T EVEN SCAN THE DAMN DISK! Anyway... what's wrong with the computer (or ScanDisk program) thats causing it to do this? Any help would be appreciated.
