Hi, I use a Toshiba Portege 2000 and I'd like to connect to a network using WPA. However, I am unable to join the network, and the Properties prompt for my wireless connection does not have a WPA option for the Network Authentication (only Shared and Open.) I am running Windows XP SP2 on the Portege, so Windows should have everything it needs for WPA, leading me to believe that the computer's network card doesn't support WPA. However, I've seen other, equally dated laptops successfully use WPA with sufficient updates, so I'm wondering if there are any updated WLAN drivers available that will enable my Portege to connect to a WPA network. Thanks!

Under XP you should have the wpa
You may need to add it under your wireless cards properties
it should have been added during the setup

if you check the cards properties
Then add services
It should work with no hassles

What settings, specifically, would you set on the wireless adapter?
