linksys router help

i have a linksys router and my signal strength is always 60% it does not go higher even if i sit in front of my router my other laptop has 100%
any help?

hmm, so two computers with wireless cards, one wireless router. Both machines put next to the wireless router results in one machine always 100%and one machine never gets past 60%. Is this a correct assumption?

If so, I would say the problem is the machine that always gets 60%. Assuming identical configurations, I would replace the wireless card in the problem machine to troubleshoot further.

Assuming identical configurations,...I would suggest contacting Linksys tech-support and make sure the configs are matching on laptops. I do believe they will walk you through it...
