This sounds an awful lot like you are asking for help to run a program illegally and that is NOT what this forum is for... If that is your intent, please be aware that you may lose membership here with such requests... If that is not your intent, please clarify...

If it is legal to play the game on more than one computer, it will have that ability without you having to search the web for a key... While we are considerably more polite than some of the people in that other site, we do not help people with illegal behavior... Please do not ask again if you wish to keep posting here...
If it is a legally owned game that allows you to install on one computer at a time, you can certainly remove it from one and install it on the other to check it... However, if you are telling the truth, a simple comparison of the computer specs will probably tell you where it will run better without having to mess with all of that...

thanks budfred, but i found out that i didnt really need a cd key. its the system itself that im having trouble with. one disc games install with no trouble. but games with more discs seem like its installing but when i try to play the game it says insert correct cd-rom even tho i have the right one in. both vietcong2 and medal of honor im having trouble with and yes they are legal games that i bought at fry's.

In point of fact, then, you do not require a CD key but rather a solution to your problem.
You aren't installing a multi-disk game using more than one optical drive, are you? Doing so can screw up the installation log (which keeps track of drive letter references) and in some cases cause the copy protection scheme to "lock" the game. Another related possibility is that you installed the game(s) using one optical drive, and then inserted the correct disk into another optical drive. I've been hit with this one before.

vietcong2 has 5 discs and medal of honor has 4. my computers both have only one optical drive. i installed this cheezy game one the computer that im having trouble with with only one disc and it plays fine.

If any computer is having a problem running a game that was properly installed, then that computer has major software issues. There's no reason that a properly installed Windows program should utterly fail to run unless there is something wrong.
Gaming tends to be a lot more picky about software issues. I generally recommend a testing routine that includes a reinstall of Windows, along with all the latest hardware drivers and Windows updates, including the latest run-time of DirectX.
