Computer Speed
1. Define Hz.
2. Define IPS.
3. Answer the following question on the relationship of Hz to IPS.
. Which is a better determiner of speed: MHz or IPS?
. Does a high Hz equal a high IPS; can they be inversely proportional?
. How is it possible for a machine with a lower Hz to have a higher IPS than a machine with a higher Hz?

As in my other "Homework" post....type Hz in your browser.......you can find all of this out by just typing into your browsers. I dont speak for anyone else on this forum; however, the purpose of this forum as I understand it is to assist people with broken computers (hardware & software issues), not students who are too lazy to look up thier own homework answers or read the textbooks associated with the course.

Ya Know..the funny thing is that most of these answers are right here in the PC Guide that Charles has taken so much time write. If one is not interested enough to read about it...how can one learn it?

I can understand someone wanting info from such smart people http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/biggrin.gif But, the whole reason anyone should take a class is to learn... not leach!!! I am all for not re-inventing the wheel... but if students don't do their own research than what's the point in taking a class. I do have to give them kudos for finding these pages and having the guts to post questions that look as if they were copy/paste straight from the text!! http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/tongue.gif
