ADSL modem and router config

Hi.
Here is my scenario.
I have got a ADSL modem( SAGEM F@st™ 800) and i will be using a wireless D link router(have not purchased) to share internet connection.

Just wanted to, while configuring the router for Dynamic IP configuration, should i contact my ISP to know the IP address of my PC or just use the MAC adddress of the NIC.

Usually you use auto address for the PC, it gets the address from the modem.
