It keeps disappearing from FF & IE. I redownload, it works fine but is gone again, when & how I have not figured out yet. Any ideas? Thanks Les

never happened to me...
i would think you may be disabling it or a program (A/V, or A/S) is saying it is Bad and removing it...
you just have to find out which one of the above is true...

Perhaps Windows was unable to boot successfully, and so automatically reverted to using an earlier copy of the registry [that doesn't include the settings for McAfee Site Advisor].
Hence it appears to be gone, although the files are probably still in place.
I wonder why Windows cannot boot after you install then use McAfee Site Advisor?
Or is something else causing the problem and this is coincidental? [I doubt it]

i would think a program (such as Norton A/V) is detecting it as bad and removing the registry value, hence removing reference to it. (though it is not "bad")
i know this has happened before with other programs....
it may be wise to post a hijack this log.....

After it disappears I see that it says it is not compatible with my newer version of FF. Strange that it will load & run OK. I guess I wait for a update. Thank you for your ideas.
