Please help me with my wireless setup

Hi I'am new to this site.

I have a desktop computer that is getting the internet from horizon through a modem. I also have a d-link router and I would like to hook the router up so that I can access the internet wirelessly with my laptop. I hooked everything up ok and i typed 192.168.0.1 into the address bar and did everything on d-link site that it told me to do and when I do all of that I can see the SSID on my laptop wirelessly and can connect to it but my laptop and the desktop will not connect to the internet. If someone would please type me back and let me know if I am missing a step or if I'am doing something wrong I would greatly appreciate it. My desktop is running on XP and my laptop is running Vista. Thanks.

Welcome!

I would check that your laptop and desktop get their IP address from the router or that their gateway address is pointing to the router's IP.. Next check that you have setup your router's wan link.

You don't mention your router model number but a search of the Dlink site should turn up instructions for setting up the WAN link for your broadband connection.
