Windows XP won't hold a connection

Windows XP will connect to my wireless network
read everything correctly, and work on the internet for a while.
but, after being connected for a certain amout of time
it loses the connection and i have to reboot.
unplugging and replugging the router does not help.
i must restart XP once i lose a connection.
so
how can i fix this?

Are you using the Zero config WiFi app that is part of XP or are you using the vendor supplied control app for the wireless card?

Have you tried manually setting the IP, gateway, DNS, etc?

im using the XP wireless config program.

i havnt manually assigned them yet. i will try that.
