Now that would be welcome, but what will it cost the user ??
He said it may be sofware upgrades to modems or shipped with new modems and may need the exchange updating in some way...
Will it add more to line rental, and more for your ISP.

Well, basically, it is just reusing what already exists, in a much more efficient manner, so costs for telcos/ISPs would be minimal...but when has that stopped them from jacking prices, in the past?
