I have a new HP laptop with Centrino and Vista (which I despise!). I also have a D-Link Router (DI-624). I can connect when plugged into my modem, but I can't connect wirelessly.

I had a work laptop that had been connected prior, but gave that up for my own personal laptop. The wireless connection on the new laptop worked initially, but then totally stopped. I've tried troubleshooting and there doesn't seem to be an issue with the router. I checked its compatibility with Vista and no issues there.

The one odd thing is that it worked when I first got it. Time Warner Cable came out for an issue regarding my modem and got that fixed, but ever since then, I haven't been able to connect. Time Warner says it's a router issue and they don't get involved with that. I don't want to call D-Link b/c their tech support is pricey.

Can anyone help me out? Is there any info I can provide to help you pinpoint the issue? Thanks so much. I am totally frustrated!

I would restart both the modem and the router. If that fails set the router back to defaults and rerun it's setup again.
Also did timewarner disconnect your router during their troubleshooting and connect your computer directly?
