Ok first let me say Hi and thanks to anyone reading this,

I want to know if I should buy an Asus M2N32-Sli Deluxe, OCZ Reaper DDR2 800mhz.

And be able to power them and the rest of my system which is:

AMD Athlonx 64 X2 4400+ (Oc'ed to 2.76ghz)
XFX GeForce 8600GT (stock)
1 CD-RW
1 DVD-RW
1 Samsung 7,200RPM 250gb 8mb cache hdd

with an Ultra X-Finity 600w power supply with 38amps.

I'm doubting if I should buy a new PSU since the Asus M2N32 needs 36amps to boot leaving me with only 2 spare amps.

Any to all help is highly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
Franz.

I don't know who told you that or where you got that info, but I'm pretty sure that's totally wrong. :p I assume you mean 36A of +12V DC? Your mobo would errupt into flames if that were true!

Your current 600W PSU will be more than fine for your hardware. If all you want to do is upgrade your mobo, then all you need to do is make sure the CPU socket matches! Oh, and the Windows hardware driver issues...

It ain't the volts that gets you, it's the amps and.. that's a whole lot of amps. You could arc weld with that.

LOL.

I read it in a review website -__-

and Yes, CPU sockets match, I'm not that stupid -_-

Are you sure it's enough >_>?

P.S: Amps = A :D

Where else would you find so many amps ? obviously on your 12v -_-

Your PSU will be fine. No worries there.

The explanation of why that is will take quite some time. How long do you have?

Hehe. Start a new thread in Core Hardware or something. I'll do it if you want.
