Hey everyone, I am having a serious problem with the sound on my computer.
I installed a webcam driver but it kept freezing, so I hit ctrl alt del to bring up task manager, I found there were two install files going on so I closed one but before I closed the other it began to work and installed. After that my sound stopped working. The webcam works fine.
I tried to reinstall everything. That didn't work. I tried to uninstall it. That didn't work either. I did everything I could, so I tried to format, but it said I need to turn on my hard drive or something but it's working fine apparently. I checked it for errors but it told me it was fine. I reinstalled vista now, without any effect, and I tried different speakers...
to me that looks like a hardware-error. Does anyone have another theory?
