The US DST ended at 2AM this morning, so if you were an hour early getting out of bed this morning you did not reset your clock.

George Hallam,

Where do you live in Cyprus?? I remember that as one of the most beautiful places I have visited -- with an edge of tension because of the strain between the Greek and Turkish sides...

Are you Cypriot??

yep i live in Cyprus.. nah im not Cypriot im English but i have lived here for 3 and a half years now and i love it.. i would never go back to the UK (apart from seeing family and PC shops :p).. i have tons of mates, lots of good weather and lots of fun.. the tension between the Cypriots and Turkish is not so bad now they are letting the Cypriots across the border..

when did you come over?

I imagine it was well before your time... About 1969 or 1970... In those days, you could look down and alley and see a machine gun behind sandbags...

Our Congress extended the days to conserve energy. It turns out not to actually work but it is good for retailers and sporting goods since people have more time to shop and play sports in the evening during DST.

As I heard it, the energy saving is just an excuse and the main reason it passed was the insistence of merchants, particularly candy merchants who wanted to sell more for Halloween... It cost all sorts of business a huge amount of money to deal with the changes in DST this year, but candy makers got to do a little more business helping to make kids obese...

 im glad i wasn't here then..

its good here because you have the nice modern lifestyle, shops and bars in the city then just 10 Km away its like going back 50 years with old men in coffee shops, old women on donkeys and stone built houses.. and a big thing out here is the low crime rate you could go to the shops leave you car outside keys in the ignition and when you get back it would still be there :D

Maybe that's not saying much for what you drive... :D

You'd do better if you left a sign that read, "Steal me!" and "My tank is full"! :p

No, it speaks to living on an island. If you rip off cars you find yourself very unpopular with all your neighbors.

You can use User CP>Edit Options and set it to an appropriate time zone there.

That does help un-confuse things.

My wife had me change the time on her high-tech alarm clock, but forgot it changes time automatically, so it was off by an hour this AM.
