Adding RAM

Hi guys.

I currently have Asus Crosshair Republic Of Gamers Mobo (version 1) and 2 x 1Gb Corsair PC6400 Expert Modules.

I mailed Corsair to ask if it was possible to add 2 x 1Gb PC6400 (normal - not expert modules).

Their response was that I could only run more than 2Gb at 667mhz because of the motherboard.

Asus clearly state that the ram can run at 800mhz and that the mobo holds max of 8Gb. However, they don't state how much can run at 800mhz.

I have the expert modules set at 2.1v DDR800 and occassionally I overclock them to 2.4v DDR960 but only when system testing.

Can anyone please help/clarify?

it will tell you exactly what will work on your system, system speed, etc
(and of cousre it will try to sell you memory, but that is optional;) )
