Kinda long sorry......Anyways i am looking to purchase a 8600gt (http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=3212568&Sku=S15-1016) to run cod4 but I'm not sure if this will maximize my gaming. My computer is about 2-3 years old so i might just end up buying a new one. Thanks for the feedback.

8600s suck for games.

try an 8800 GT 512MB=> 80% of the performance of the 8800 Ultra, 1/2 the price

but you computer may not be able to support any new GPU.

It'll work, but it won't be much of an upgrade over the 6800.

OMG! Is that an original GeForce 6800!? Holy cow!

You've got PCIe, so no worries there. You can install any modern PCIe x16 vid card. The two limiting factors will be your budget and your Dell 8400's PSU. The first one is easy - just tell us! :p For the PSU, you'll have to open your Dell and look at the PSU's sticker; then just post that info here for us to look at.

By the way, I noticed your BIOS is only A04. Check Dell's website for an update. They should have A06 (or later) by now!
