For all you who wonder why you can't access some BIOS features in off the shelf machines here is an answer from HP....
As you have discovered HP removes some of the more advanced features from the BIOS to make them more "idiot proof" for home users. For the most part these features are not required by home users and only cause trouble.
Nice of them to decide who the idiots are!
As we know those BIOS can cause trouble but they can also be very helpful when solving compatability issues.
