Hi there,

I'm having issues connecting to my company's VPN over my wireless connection and I'm going out o fmy mind with it.

I'm connecting to our g router fine with a belkin wireless g USB adapter. I have 2 VPN connections I have to access at seperate times for various work things. One of them connects ok but wont let me then remote dektop to anything and the other simply wont connect after I've put in my credentials despite them being identical to what I put in at work.

I'm using Cisco VPN client with Windows XP SP2.

Any pointers or advice would be very gratefully received.

NK

do you have an IT department?- they may have already seen this problem and have a solution for it.

Your problem has nothing to do with your wireless connection.

As Ajmukon said contact your company help desk. There is probably some setting that is messed up somewhere.

Open your cisco client, what is the host? Is it a name or an IP? What's the IP start with?

When you are able to connect with the first session, go to Start/Run and then type cmd <enter> type ipconfig /all and hit enter. What are the ranges for your Local Area Connection and your cisco adaptor? Your home network may be in the same range as the VPN assigned DHCP range.
