Downloading the demo now. It looks great and I loved and still play COD2.
But I was wondering if anyone has played it yet before I plunk down $50 on it?

yes i got it yesterday and completed it its a great game... alot better than COD 1,2 and 3 (i liked COD 2, then the rest were all the same, and the same goes for the MOH series)... the graphics are good but the physics (compared to crysis) are rubbish rocket launcher + table = black mark on table .. its a really nice set out game would recommend it to anyone.. i wrote this not that long ago
Call of Duty 4 : Modern warfare
demo was only 15 minutes long so didnt get to into it.. ok imagine this COD 1,2,3 but with modern weapons :p so simple it works great i am really sick and tied of WWII games especially after the rubbishness of MOH: Airborne.. the graphics are good, 30-40fps with 1680 x 1050, 16AF, HDR and 16AA most setting on high some on medium (wouldnt let me turn them up and higher argh demos :D ) to stick the the COD theme you have no health bar.. just take cover when your screen goes red wish it was that simple in real life  thats all i can really comment on
verdict
gameplay 8/10
graphics 9/10
fun 8/10
length N/A

7900GS factory OC'ed 600/1600
I know what you mean abut the black marks. That's OK though as long as the game play is good. It was great in 2 and the graphics were overall great. I have 1 but never played it and 3 was console only.
Looking forward to playing it. :)

LOL, the graph doesn't look very good for me, but my native resolution is only 1280x1024 and I won't have the AF at 16. So it should quite playable with my system.
Maybe after the holidays I will upgrade. That's usually about the time I do it every year anyway. :)

Fileplanet you have to register on but if you register on 3dgamers you'll get faster speeds then the guest public servers.

I can't control anything with the 360 controller, and i've had a system since launch!
Never been able to get used to the controls, don't know why. Play Burnout, sports games, Dead Rising and Condemned but forget about socom or halo. I can only do one thing at a time....move, strafe or shoot. Any more then that and I decorate the ceiling spraying bullets wildly.
Waiting for most of these games to hit the pc which is fine for me, especially with how Gears of War is turning out.
I already preorded Mass Effect so when it comes on saturday i'll be learning how to do all that whether I like it or not! That game's just too good to say "oh screw it, I can't figure it out". Been waiting for too long for it to be released :D
