A new beta has been released for Firefox. Here's a look at it from Ars Technica: "fast, stable, and full of new features." (http://arstechnica.com/news.ars/post/20071120-afirst-look-at-firefox-3-beta-1.html)

For me, this one statement makes the update worthwhile:

According to Mozilla, over 300 individual memory leaks have been plugged and new architectural features, like the XPCOM cycle collector, have been added to combat memory waste.

Firefox has always been plagued by memory leaks. Open up a bunch of tabs and leave the browser running for a good long time...watch the memory usage climb.
