yo

i just got a new computer from microcenter and it came with my user account alone, but when i start it up it goes to the welcome screen, so i went into control panel and saw another account that doesnt show up on the welcome screen "asp.net machine a..."

i dont want to have to click my name every time i turn the computer on and i dont no if this account is safe to delete, or wat it is at all

An additional user is made when .Net is installed.
Just think of it as your little Microsoft buddy.

Also If you don't use .NET you can delete that asp.net account without any hassle or harm to your system performance

so ah...
i remember no my old comp my ati graphics card said i needed it so i installed it
but it never installed another account and i never recongnized it being there
basically...
what defines me using and having the .net framework?
like would i no if i used it?

The only place I have seen it used was during a program install
In fact like your ATI deal
That was the only time I know it was used.

But the account in my system didn't pop up there till one of the windows updates and it was updated.
I deleted it shortly there after and no problems

You can simply use TweakUI for XP to change the logon options including viewing or hiding the asp.net account.
