Distracting music

I'm just wondering if anyone of you feel the same way that I do about something. On TV, I like to watch programs like the Discovery Channel, History Channel and programs like that. But one of my pet peeves is the distracting music and percussion sounds that they have playing in the back ground. Sometimes it's as loud or even louder than the narration itself. It makes it very difficult for me to hear what they are saying. I suppose the music or as I call it, "noise" is supposed to make it more dramatic--I don't know. I just wish that they would eliminate all the background music completely as it is so distracting. Anyone else feel that way? I suppose I'm probably with the minority.

Sometimes yes, sometimes no but in general I'm inclined to agree, especially with animal shows and documentaries on Discovery Channel, I wish they'd lose the background music...
