I have a linksys wireless router connected to my cable modem that I use to get internet access for my laptop. The problem is that my laptop takes forever to connect.
The laptop can see the network, but it won't connect. The laptop is set to automatically connect when it starts, but when it boots, I get an error message that states it is unable to connect to the default network. If I go to the network connections, the network is listed, but if I click connect, it makes an attempt, then refreshes the list of available networks and does not make a connection. If I leave it alone, it eventually connects on it's own. By eventually I mean anywhere from 10 minutes to 2 hours.
It connects, so there isn't a problem there, but does anyone have any idea why it takes so long?
