Just putting this out there: try some different build sites. It can be alot cheaper on different sites with the same configuration.

Then again, if you can drop 2300 on a PC, I guess you don't care about 100 dollars one way or the other. ;)

But just as a point of reference:
ibuypower.com
cyberpowerpc.com
And New Egg is always a good place to look.

Uhhh... Where's the RAM!?

Change out the Zalman for a Thermalright Ultra-90.

Oh yuck! The G9 looks ugly! I still like my G5.

If you feel like saving some money (and the environment) drop the two 8800 GTX's for two 512MB 8800 GT's. Small decrease in performance - large decreases in cost, heat dissipation, power consumption, and physical size.

Make sure you get Vista 64-bit retail!! Home Premium is good. Or Business. Both have their advantages.

No, it really is ugly. ;) Gotta have standards for these sorts of things! :p

The gaming-worthy peripherals have been outstanding these last few years. There's no room in the market for an ugly mouse with a DPI so insanely high that it's nigh unusable!

I'll stick with my G5, thanks. The G9 is ugly and overkill.

I was going to get the G7 originally but it wasnt stocked anymore and i thought wired was faster

I have a "temporary" Logitech multimedia USB keyboard. My first-ever Logitech keyboard (from my first custom build back in early 2001) finally died of abuse nearly a year ago. It died suddenly, however, so I was forced to buy this "temporary" keyboard in a store at retail prices! Yuck! :( I was then going to use it for awhile, get my money's worth, and buy a G11 or G15 online - thus the "temporary" status.

Nearly a year later and...

One thing led to another, and I had other needs for my money, etc. So here I am with my "temporary" Logitech multimedia USB keyboard with no plans to replace it yet with a G15. That's life, I guess. Not that I'm complaining, though. It works.

At least we both agree on the G15 keyboard :D
