I am using Outllook 2003 with Windows XP. A couple days ago, I received an email with an attachment. I am using the preview pane

This message is at the top of my messages and when I start Outlook, it is highlighted with a blank screen in the preview and I can't open it or delete it.
When I close down Outlook, the blank preview screen remains on the desktop until I restart Windows. Can anyone tell me where the messages are located so I can try to delete this message before starting Outlook?

Also can anyone tell me how to export my address book from Outlook to Outlook Express.

Thanks!

What antivirus are you running?

I,m using CA-Anti Virus provided by Mediacom, my provider I had this problem once before with a .jpg attachment. At that time, I was able to open Outlook in Windows safe mode and delete the message with the attachment. I tried to open Outlook in safe mode this time and it still locks up.

The preview pane is one of the worst possible things you can do...there are just too many types of malware around that love to exploit it. Run a thorough scan with your AV.
