Have you looked in BIOS to see what temps are reported there? Are these temps you posted in Centigrade or Fahrenheit? Not bad for F but terribly HOT for C if so. The yellow wire seems it's possible to be a fan speed sensor.
Put a small fan blowing at the opened side of the case at the mobo and see if it helps. Possibly you need to reapply some new heatsink compound under the CPU H/S but it's confusing because you shouldn't have needed to remove it to swap out cases.

Welcome to http://www.pcguide.com/ubb/pcgubb.gif forums.
If it is 78C/idle and 105C/load yes it is too hot! Unless of course you would like your CPU to turn to silicon goo! It sounds like the CPU HSF needs to be reset, the thermal compound needs cleaned off and new thermal compound needs to be applied.
I wouldn't use the system until you take care of this. Also the shutdown temps are too high. You need to go into the BIOS and set the shutdown temps to the lowest setting, usually 60C.
