They're all over thinking this concept when the normal average user has nothing to do with the download and upload of illegal mp3's.
It's like Vista's security with that 5% who will illegally download it. Way to much thought into it.
Just stupid, in my oppinion.

I have started to hear of some musicians bypassing record companies and selling their wares online for download. Even giving out low bit rate versions of their albums for free while offering the good stuff for a very reasonable price because they don't have to pay the record companies a penny (this is why they want the MP3 format, and others, outlawed) and there is very low overhead selling online.

If you can download the low bit rate stuff for free you can check it out with no risk. Then if you like it you can download the whole album or particular tracks for a very fair price. :cool:

This is what needs to happen. Without DRM of course. Like the IRS the record companies need to be eliminated from the picture. ;)
