Defragmentation Percentage

Ever since I installed Windows 98 defrag never tells me the percentage that my drive is fragmented. I always assumed that it was removed but the other day someone told me that they have Windows 98 and the percentage is still displayed. What is everyone else's experience with this?

Hello Neil,

Mine doesnt tell me. I have 98 1st edition. They might have added it back in SE which would explain your friend. Never thought much of it so I dont know anything further on the subject. Just wanted to add mine doesnt tell me so Id suspect this is normal.......

Aware, many of us think the same but it is the nature of the beast...the options Ixl has enabled/disabled just don't allow it. There are a couple of posts in the suggestion box about it.

I have 98se and it did, that is until I gave up on it and switched to a third party defragger...so maybe they did put it back in se.
