Can't access a folder

theres a folder on my desktop that was there before i reformatted, and since then when i double click it says "access denied" and gives me a root folder address... is there a way to override the folder because it was never password protected it also won't let me delete it.

i am computer illiterate so simplify it down plz :)

There are other methods but unlocke (http://ccollomb.free.fr/unlocker/)r might do the trick. If not (or if it reappears) then you probaly need to scan for malware.
