Missing files

Hey,
I had to format my pc and install windows again. I have two harddrives, one for windows and programs, and one for storing files. I formated det windows drive and installed windows on it, and I didn't do anything to the storage drive. But when checked my storage drive, with my new windows installation there was a lot of files missing. Most of it was there, but there was missing serveral files and folders:confused:. Is there a way to get these back?
