Windows Virtual Machine or VRware for Netflix movie downloads

Is there any way with the Windows 9x platform or 2000, to load a virtual machine program that will allow Windows Media Player 11 to run in it's own protected environment? Because I want to join Netflix and download movies, but they informed me I would have to use Windows Media Player 11.

I have 2 gigs of memory and a 2.5 gigahertz processor, and it's an ASUS A8S-X motherboard.

Which OS were you intending to load onto the VM? You will need WinXP or above to run WMP11 and if you have such an installation at your disposal why not just upgrade your current OS?

There are other VMs but MS VirtualPC 2004 SP1 (Virtual PC 2004 SP1) itself requires at least Windows 2000.
