Windows® XP Service Pack 3 (SP3) includes all previously released updates for the operating system. This is a Release Candidate for the SP3, not the final release.

I would not install a Service Pack beta unless I had just imaged/verified the image for the PC in case there are issues still needing to be corrected.

A newspaper article in Minneapolis today was outlining the direction software was having to go with the "many" processor direction Intel and AMD are headed. It looks as though, in light of the many processor thrust, that Vista may be short lived...they're talking Windows "7" or something to that effect as the next OS...
