Currently have Cat 5/Hub network but am moving to multi-floor house.
Since I can't rewire, I am considering converting to the Homefree or Warplink wireless systems. Do they work? Any lessons learned? Does the 2.4 Ghz interfere with wireless phones.

Thanks, Bill

In the new issue (July) of MaximumPC (http://maximumpc.com) they have an article about security on wireless networks that maybe of some interest

Oops, the article isn't on the site yet...check out the mag.....

We have some wireless at school, and we tested the signal strength. We could be outside the room. (closed doors, concrete block walls) and still be connected to the network about 40-50 feet away.

So just be aware that your neighbors might have access to your network http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/frown.gif http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/eek.gif http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/mad.gif , take it how you may.

MS-DOS, the only Microsoft OS that doesn't crash, or have bugs. Maybe they should have someone else write Operating Systems for them again.
