I purchased a Lite-On FS020 case-- I plan to build my own PC. This puppy is a beast! But anyway, there are two cables that run from the power switch on the front panel of the case. They are both two-pin cables, and both are labeled "Power SW". So my question is... why two? I know one of these cables must connect to the motherboard (I plan to get an Intel D850GB motherboard) but how about the other one? As I understand it, one of the cables connects to the motherboard, which then sends a power-on request to the power supply... I don't know the use of the other cable. The only difference is the color of the wires. One cable has a brown/black combination, and one has a blue/white combination. Can anyone enlighten me as to the use of two power switch cables?

Thank you---

Javen

Well, I don't know for sure, but the blue/white is probably the power switch and brown black maybe the power LED. When you get your mother board it will probably tell you. If not just swith them around til you get it right. http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/wink.gif

I don't think that is the case; there is a separate cable for the power LED.

Hi javens, I can (barely) see (http://www.liteonenclosure.com/products/pdf/fs020.pdf) what you mean. Assembly 28 has the reset switch lead, as well as double leads coming from the power switch.

Why? Heck if I know. Like JL275 says, I'd go with whatever works, if I didn't have an ohmmeter handy.
