Will someone help me to make converting all my .wma songs to mp3 a fast simple process? It looks like I have Windows Audio Converter on this computer, so once I convert all of my songs to mp3, can I simply sync them to a new Ipod?

If so, a decision I have to make is what bitrate to use. Does anyone know the best choice, when this Ipod is an eight GB player, and we will only sync about 2GB of songs? Anyother tips to help me not spend all of Christmas Day on this project would be appreciated. Thank again. Tom

There are many such converters or methods but Switch (http://nch.com.au/switch/) is pretty good. Such ripped and converted files should work fine via iTunes as far as I know.

your songs were recorded at a bit rate of 24, so you might want to just stick with 24. going higher then that won't do much of anything, and you have the space for it too.

iTunes will also try to convert the .wma to .mp3 for you. Just point it to the folder containing your music and see what it does. Might save you some time doing manual conversions.
