It is not really a problem, but I am curious about the Icons on my Desktop.

I have two systems. The newer one has an up-to-date Nvidia GeForce2 AGP Display adapter and a 17 inch monitor. The older system has a very good, but obsolete Matrox Millenium II Display adapter and a 15 inch monitor.

Both displays are set to 800 X 600, but the Icons on the 17 inch monitor are noticeably smaller. I would expect it to be the other way: Smaller icons on the 15 inch monitor.

Icons are drawn by pixel size. The 17" monitor has more pixels (dots) per square inch so an icon that's 30x30 for instance, would cover less screen area than a monitor with less available pixels. That's my guess anyway...and I may be way out in left field...

One system may be set to display small icons on the desktop and the other set to display large icons.
Right click on your desktop choose properties go to the effects tab of the display properties dialogue box tick the box for display large icons do this for both machines.
