Sorry for being so breif on my question. Let me try to explain better http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/smile.gif I thought that Window's ME had a thing what they called "go back" meaning if you messed up and you started haveing problems with your Computer, that you could "go back" 1-hour or 1-week etc., before the problem started. I guess maybe it is a restore function?
thanks,
Mil

Read both pages of this ZDNet article (http://www.zdnetindia.com/help/howto/stories/14047.html) http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/smile.gif It explains how to use System Restore (http://www.techtv.com/screensavers/answerstips/story/0,23008,10355,00.html) One other piece of advice regarding "Restore" the default allocated space is 12% of your HD...you can adjust this down to a more realistic setting to spare HD space...Heck you can even disable "Restore" all together as suggested in this TechTV (http://www.techtv.com/screensavers/answerstips/story/0,23008,3007299,00.html) article http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/smile.gif
Probably more than you wanted to know and later than a day old doughnut to boot http://www.PCGuide.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

Mil,Roxio has a software product named GoBack3 which I recently purchased, and what it does is take various snapshots{to restore} of your hard drive during periods of inactivity for instance, and you can goback to various specific points which you are referring to.System restore takes a snapshot of your registry only, and is far less accurate and stable IMHO. GoBack3 is very sophisticated recovery software, and gives you some peace of mind as well. You can check out the product at www.roxio.com..also (http://www.roxio.com..also) go to www.epinions.com (http://www.epinions.com) to read 20 product reviews in the software section.....cheers,~pawprint~
