XP Pro upgrade issue

Related to my other post, the second issue I'm having is that after the upgrade, neither my DVD burner nor my CD drive seem to be working properly. I can put a disk in it and it spins up, green light lit, but then...nothing. I can't access the drivers section of "My Computer" properties because of the previously posted issue. Both drives worked properly with WIN2000 (I used the one drive to install XP). Any ideas (and do I need to solve the "right click" issue before I can solve this one? Thanks.

First check Device Manager (run devmgmt.msc) to see if there are any problem devices or any showing with bold yellow punctuation marks.

You should be able to get to Properties from the File Menu, while RClick is not working.
